It's Milo! When it's time to change the sheets, he always manages to get between the sheets!

The tooth fairy has arrived!

Laurynn lost her bottom left cuspid/canine tooth this evening. At night, she placed the tooth fairy pillow under her bed pillow. While she was sleeping, John carefully replaced the loose tooth with a $5 dollar bill and there was a sticky note and pen. This is what it read:

Our Girl Scout

This is Laurynn's last year as a Brownie; next year, she'll be a Junior Girl Scout.

Milo in Matthew's crib

Devon and I were talking in Matthew's room when Milo came in and jumped in his crib. This is the first I've noticed him "sleeping" in Matthew's crib.

Carrots!

Matthew started his last vegetable, carrots, and he did great. He managed to eat 2 ounces without a fuss. He's definitely has the feeding routine down. After he eats his baby food, he gets an 8 ounce bottle and he's good for several hours.

Next Monday is the introduction of fruits...apples...

Meet Zoe...

We have a new feline addition to our family...Meet Zoe...She is black and white, around 8 months old and the sweetest little cat. She's "hanging out" in Laurynn's room till she gets acclimated to her new environment.

Sonic weapon

As many of you know and have witnessed, Matthew releases what John calls the "sonic weapon" when it's time to burp between bottle feedings. When you take the bottle away for burping, he let's out a scream so loud, that I have to turn my head at times. I really should buy some earplugs to prevent deafness.

Splish splash!

Matthew had a bath today and he's almost grown out of the infant tub. At five months, he's so active with his feet; kicking and splashing water everywhere. It'll be soon that I'll have to use the bath seat in the big tub. He's always enjoyed his bath time ever since he was a newborn.

Thumbs up for squash

Today was the first introduction to squash for Matthew. This is the 4th vegetable and he's doing a great job! After last weeks trial with sweet peas, I was ready to try a new veggie. From the first spoonful, he liked it and wanted another and another. When I was finished, he had eaten 2.5 ounces of squash.

Many expressions

Five months old

Our little Matthew is five months today! He's not so little anymore. He loves sucking on his fingers, preferably his thumb. When taking a bottle, he still cries when time to burp and instead sticks his thumb in his mouth. When he's in his bouncer, his legs start to kick and he can almost bounce out of it. The bouncer by far is still the most used baby equipment at this time. Although he's 5 months, he can wear size 6-9 months. His 3-6 month sleepers are almost too short to fit comfortably. Time to go buy bigger clothes.

No peas for me PLEASE!!

Today, Matthew was introduced to sweet peas. He took about 4 spoonfuls and realized it wasn't green beans and started to spit it out. I figured it wasn't worth feeding him more since he didn't like them. So, I'll try again this evening...

I couldn't resist this photo op between Milo and Coco. I was watching a movie and they were on the bed when Milo draped his paw over Coco and proceeded to groom her.

Welcome home Laurynn!

Laurynn arrived home today from a visit with her grandparents in Dallas. Actually, John, Matthew and I drove north to Fairfield (1/2 way between Houston and Dallas) to meet my parents at Sams Restaurant. Since December 19th, she has travelled from Sealy, Texas to Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Shreveport (Louisiana) and then to Dallas. She had a great two weeks holiday vacation visiting family and friends. School returns tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m. Fingers are crossed for a successful second semester in 3rd grade!

It was quite noisy at our house last night. Since we're out of the city limits, people took advantage of fireworks. Max was terrified of the loud shots and refused to go outside. Sophie, on the other hand, was not scared. Who'd known Max would be scared?
