It's Tuesday and the Houston area has been hit hard with torrential rain and flooding. Laurynn was scared of the lightning and thunder and came to our bed around 2:30 am. Several times the electricity turned on/off and that started a chain reaction with our smoke detectors. The smoke detectors are tied into our electricity and everytime the electricity turned on/off, they'd go off.
At one point, our cul-de-sac was flooded but quickly drained away. I got the phone call that Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is closed all day. The TAKS test was scheduled for today, so I guess it'll be tomorrow. Laurynn was not happy about not going to school. I know she's ready to get the test over with.
John's working from home due to the flooding around our area. We're expected to have more rain later this afternoon.
